New CEP website on sweetpatch
I've finally managed to keep updated the new cep website that you can find on www.sweetpatch.tv at this link. On sweetpatch.tv you will find all the latest news about the incoming releases and all the details about the CEP project. See ya there then! :)
Maybe not all the CEP user know that since this summer all the CEP informations are on the new sweetpatch website: www.sweetpatch.tv, where thanks to Dave Witts I've been able to write few news about the CEP development as I'm still not able to update the new CEP minisite and most of all because I've been very busy during this autumn. Anyway since September I've worked with the collaboration of some updaters to update the rosters for the new season, to update the kits to the present season and increasing the huge CEP Miniheads Addon version addon that will cover almost all the main CEP leagues.
The difficulty in producing a CEP 2008 version has been of course the new format of the kits: at the beginning of November I've found a technical solution to use the fifa 2007 kits inside the game, and so the loooong process of conversion started. During these weeks I've completed both the final 2007 CEP version and the first one for fifa 2008 and I'm actually in a short phase of testing. Basically I did not added any new leagues, as I wanted to concentrate on update and precision of the rosters and as I realized how hard is to find precise information about the teams of some remote leagues. So the last new is that new CEP 2007 and CEP 2008 are both ready, that during these holidays I should be able to upload them and that you will able to play again with the most ambitious extension to your favorite EA game. After this first release (that will be the CEP 5.0 version) I'll work on the winter transfer market, on the leagues that still need to be updated (you will find information about leagues update status in the Join CEP section of THIS website), and on the new version of CEP Miniheads addon, then together with Esterry we'll start the new section of CEP addons: the stadiums addon, that will be another ambitious step in upgrading and expanding your fifa. Actually I am able to update THIS website, and is here that you will find the last information: I hope to update soon all the sections of this website, waiting to have access to the sweetpatch.tv minisite too. Stay tuned here anyway for news about the release of the patches!
Compilation of the Month News - 2nd collaboration between Perplekks and Wepeeler
The FIFA gaming community had better brace themselves for the much anticipated 2nd collaboration between Perplekks and Wepeeler.
The 1st collaboration was a major success, but the 2 FIFA gamers have RE-UNITED to shock the FIFA gaming community once again! This time, they took it personal and the end result was Dynamite.
Get ready for the official release on Thursday night/Friday morning (Just in time for the official release of the new Sweetpatch.TV site!)
FIFA 07 News - First Season of XLEAGUE.TV FIFA 07 League Completed
Last weekend saw the first XLEAGUE.TVFIFA 07 League come to an end. Their most active league, FIFA 07 saw the final 8 players fight it out in the play-offs, for a first prize of £500 and runner up prize of £100.
2nd place contender Dazfeeder returned to their studio’s as well as 1st place Sonman, ready to prove why he had made it to the top of the league.
Although many expected favourite Jay Buchanan to reign triumphant, the pressure was too much, as he fell at the first hurdle to 3rd place Benzilla. Both very talented FIFA 07 players yet from different classes of play. Buchanan a deadly finesse specialist, the other completely against the use of the finesse shot.
The whole day saw upsets and favourites fail to impress, you could feel the nerves in the air, fingers twitching. Benzilla managed to make it to the final, defeating another favourite, Sonny ‘Sonman’ Walton in a nail-biting semi-final, trading goals off each other.
The hero of the day came in the form of none other than Darren ‘Dazfeeder’ Tee, giving out a 5-1 drubbing at the first stage and steadily working his way to the final, which he convincingly won against the most improved player in the league, Benzilla.
With the 2nd season now in full swing, we can only expect more of the same, if not better, as all players continue to improve.
Just a quick update on the situation here at CEP: I'm waiting to receive the material from the many updaters we gathered around the world to update the leagues to the 2007/08 season. In the meanwhile I'm personally working on updating the leagues that already started with the new rosters, while I'm updating the rosters I'm creating the miniheads for the teams I update so you will find more detail in the next version of the CEP; you can find the leagues updated in the Status page.
I plan to release an 07/08 update during the month of September/October, if you want to participate to the process of updating please contact me at fifaock@yahoo.it. With the next release we should provide the new version of Kit Addon too, with the kits updated to the 2008 season. And of course, this new version will be the basis for the 2008 version of CEP.
The scores are very realistic. Most games will be in the range of 1-0, 2-0, 2-1 etc. Though on occasion you can crush the enemy, or get crushed by them, which happens in real life. Remember Man-UTD vs. AS Roma in last year’s Champions League tournament?
The shot mechanic has improved and sometimes you will barely miss the opportunity to score and then you will want to attack, convert the chance and get the goal. And once you score, man is that a relief. If you still think NK's updates have got the WE3 shot mechanic, then forget WE3 and try WE5! Much more work has been done to improve in this area of play!
NK says: You’re right; a lot of work went into the shot mechanic to ensure gamers that the last update for FIFA 07™ would be the best and most realistic. The shot mechanic was at the top of the list.
Ball physics are sharper. For example; Cross too hard and your player will fail the trap and the ball will roll out of the pitch. This adds unpredictability to the physics.
NK says: Aaar yes, the ball physics. It’s a footballers dream to receive a perfect long-pass from open play and catch it at the tip of his toe, only to find the defence don’t want the ball and wish him all the best as they wave him on...and then he wakes up. Sadly, this didn’t used to be a dream for the players’ of FIFA 07™, but now they can get real! Sorry guys, you better learn how to pass.
Remember in the EURO 2004 when Beckham missed 3 penalties by shooting the ball over the net? Well, players don't miss THAT badly in WE5, but sometimes, players do make mistakes and remember, Ronaldinho is not perfect, so sometimes he will miss as well!
NK says: And too right he should miss! Just because you hold down the finesse button, doesn’t mean it’s only the keeper who can stop it from there on. There’s a lot more pressure in WE5 and you’ve got to have the space and time to perform!
NK sent me an exclusive play-test version of the latest beta, so it will still be improved!
Without these updates from NK, FIFA 07™ would have been nothing!
FIFA 08™ is close to being released, so you can also expect to see NK’s updates for FIFA 08™!

FIFA 07 News - Second Season of XLEAGUE.TV FIFA 07 League
While the first season of the XLEAGUE.TVFIFA 07 League enters the play-off stages, the second season has already begun.
With players eager to get a big point gap early on, play has already kicked off with new players taking the lead:
Ricky Lait aka hammere13 has managed to keep hold of the top spot so far,
with Ben Reed aka Benzilla following close behind him.
Sonny Walton aka sonman is pacing himself in joint third place along with H3 Tezza. Sonman finished last season in first place and is recognised as being a strong contender for repeating the same success this season.
However could there be a new player on the horizon willing to challenge for the title? We have certainly seen talented players in the XLEAGUE.TVFIFA 07 Tournament but whether they can transfer their skills remains to be seen.

FIFA 07 News - XLEAGUE.TV Tournament Final Round-Up
Last weekend saw the XLEAGUE.TVFIFA 07 Tournament come to a climatic end. Eight of the top Xbox 360 FIFA 07 players battled it out in the hope of becoming the first official XLEAGUE.TVFIFA 07 Tournament Champion. Pride was not the only prize for the winner to take home, with a brand new Playstation 3 and a selection of 8 games courtesy of EA up for grabs as the tournament grand prize.
Familiar names such as Darren Tee, Jay Buchanan and Chris Bullard featured in the tournament, all big names in the FIFA 07 community, but reputation alone couldn’t guarantee these players the title. Tournament outsider Oliver Tucker won the title in dramatic fashion.
Road to the Title
Scotland’s Craig McEwan stood against Tucker in their Quarter Final clash, with Tucker beating him 2-1, a close game that could’ve gone either way.
Oliver’s semi final bout was a nail biter as he came up against High Wycombe’s Matt Laughlin, both trading goals one after another, with Oliver coming out on top with a 4-3 win after extra time.
The final saw Oliver taking on pro-gamer and XLEAGUE.TV Invitational Champion Chris Bullard, with Chris proving his credentials taking a 3-1 lead by half-time with a barrage of stunning goals. Oliver displayed his resilience and battled on.
When Chris was asked to comment about his first half performance he said:
“I was 3-1 up at half time and then the cobwebs started to show in my game. Oliver scored from a corner, from a position I forgot to cover, which I had learnt about from playing at the top level 6 months ago.”
Oliver stepped up his attack, changing his tactics pulling 2 more goals back, and at 3-3 we were all expecting penalties, but in the dying moments he broke through the defence and slotted his winning goal into the net in the dying moments of extra time. Chris Bullard failed to reply, crumpling to defeat.
Like a true professional, Chris only had the following to say:
“After today, I met some new great people and I think I did myself proud. The amount of games I have played doesn’t compare to some of the guys at the tournament today. So I will take the 2nd place with a bit of pride knowing I have done better than expected. Still a bit gutted about being so close to a great prize.”
XLEAGUE.TV'sFIFA 07 Tournament has paved the way for future competitive play; and we can only expect as much heated action for the other tournaments and playoffs.
FIFA 07 News - XLEAGUE.TV League Play-Offs Kick Off
The first XLEAGUE.TVFIFA 07 League has now run its course and is now entering into the play-off stages.
Players that have qualified for the play-offs include league leader Sonny Walton aka Sonman. Sonman, the favourite to take the league title has played consistently well this season. He will be looking to maintain this form and follow it into the play-offs, although fully aware that a slip up will cost him the title, we suspect that Sonman will mean business.
Fresh from taking his FIFA 07 Tournament crown, Oliver Tucker aka Ollx has also qualified and will be facing off against Sam Sidley aka H3 Tezza. Oliver Tucker will be a strong contender to take the crown; he has already showcased his ability to handle the pressure of tournament play after coming back from 3-1 down versus the UK’s #1 FIFA player, Chris Bullard in the XLEAGUE.TVFIFA 07 Tournament final.
Following on from his early defeat in the XLEAGUE.TVFIFA 07 Tournament, Darren Tee aka Dazfeeder, looks set to put things right in the play-offs and regain his earlier league glory.
The play-offs look set to be a scorcher with the cream of the FIFA 07 league battling it out for top crown and prize.
The play-offs will kick off on Wednesday 25th at 9.30pm and you will be able to see them soon on Sky channel 279.

The World Cyber Games is your answer and there isn't any other competition that can boast such impressive sounding stats.
The WCG is in its 7th tournament and every year the stakes are raised, the competition is hotter and the players are ever more thirsty for glory. Jay Buchanan is enjoying a terrific run of form during this tournament. Hitting double figures yet again sending Paul Clarkson aka MasterClarky back to school in a 12 - 3 annihilation.
Oliver Tucker aka Ollx, who earlier in the competition scored 29 goals in one game, went home the victor in a much harder fought Round 2 match.
As did pre-tournament favourite and Invitational Champion ChrisyBullard with his 12 - 2 win against Adrian Sutcliffe aka OneWiseWolf.
Darren Tee aka Dazfeeder narrowly took a victory in a 6-5 thriller against Dale Benford aka Omarkahn.
Dazfeeder has brought in the wins during this tournament to secure his place in the Quarter Finals but does he have what it takes score against the big scorers of the tournament?
The Quarter Finals look set to be a scorcher this week with top games being played. In possibly the game of the tournament, Dazfeeder will face off against ChrisyBullard. Other matches include Jay Buchanan vs. Wayne Chattoe, RAMBO C MAC vs. Ollx and Tournament outsiders MattyL7 and CoolMichael22 will go head to head for a place in the semi finals and a chance at taking the XLEAGUE.TVFIFA 07 Tournament Title.
All you have to do to enter is upload your favourite FIFA 07/UEFA Champions League™ 2006-2007 goals at the Sweetpatch Soccer Skills Academy on Youtube and when you name the video just add the words "Goal of the Month for July 07 - " to the start of the name. FIFA 07 News - XLEAGUE.TV Tournament Reaches Playoffs
Round 1 of the knockout stage in the XLEAGUE.TVFIFA 07 Tournament has been played. And there have been some thrilling developments.
League title challenger Darren Tee aka Dazfeeder was able to sink his teeth into an opponent, claiming 12 goals against Darren Mclees aka mclees.
Stephen Murphy aka Smegg1980 has crashed out of the competition. Smegg1980, currently ranked 3rd in the FIFA 07 League, had a tough time getting into a game where he was completely dominated by Michael Barrett aka CoolMichael22.
With the strength of his performance against Smegg1980. Craig MacEwan aka RAMBO C MAC cruised to victory with a 16 – 1 walkover against King Mayjor.
In typical fashion, Jay Buchanan and Richard Bowen aka ROC E REDSKULL both dominated their opponents reaching double figures. ROC E REDSKULL had a relatively close game to what he has faced so far from LotsaColin, finally chasing the game down to 10 – 7.
Ollx was the highest scorer in the knockout stages so far with a 29 – 7 demolition of reaper1988.
Big games to watch out for in Round 2 are:
Dazfeeder vs. Omarkhan,
MasterClarky vs. Jay Buchanan and
ROC E REDSKULL vs. BRUTALGAMER.
Can the likes of outsiders like CoolMicahel22 and RAMBO C MAC slip under the radar and snatch the title from the pre tournament favourites? Stay tuned to teh XLEAGUE.TVFIFA 07 Tournament for more tournament news as the pressure builds and player’s fates are decided.
Legend: The hardest for those who love a low-score.
Advanced: Slightly easier to increase goal chance.
Intermediate: Much easier for gamers who want to score more!
EA replica: Original 07 mechanic, few changes due to new physics.
WE3 mechanic: World Evolution 3 shot mechanic.
Not only this, but World Evolution 5 will be based on real simulation passing allowing gamers to attempt to slow down the play and build-up attacks at a realistic pace. Of course difficulty level will vary this and in some cases, a World Class player will simply run for the ball as in real life instead of holding off 100% of the time to keep it authentic and let you feel the pressure!
This will possibly be the last update for 07 games.
On the side, if anyone is having problems with languages in WE4 for FIFA 07 then click here to download the language fix this will give you the screen at startup allowing you to select your language. Sorry for the mixup guys.
Darren Tee aka Dazfeeder a firm favourite for the tournament has not been playing his best football due to a lack of available opponents in his group. However he has still produced the results when needed.
Jay Buchanan has been storming through the group stages, qualifying with an impressive 40 goals under his belt and only conceding 4. Not one to be left behind Richard Bowen aka ROC E REDSKULL holds a similar score of 45 goals with 10 against. Both have led the way in Groups F & G respectively.
Round 1 matches have been scheduled, with particular games to watch between:
CoolMichael22 vs. smegg1980
benzilla vs. ChrisyBullard
OneWiseWolf vs. Antman711
The XLEAGUE.TVFIFA 07 Tournament looks set to heat up with some thrilling matches, so stay tuned for more tournament news as the pressure builds and player’s fates are decided.
Check out XLEAGUE.TV on Sky Channel 291 tonight where they bring you the latest FIFA 07 updates from their leagues and tournaments. It is on at regular intervals so you should be able to find a slot that suits you.
They have also added all their FIFA 07 shows aired so far and you can view them all in excellent high quality by clicking here.
The Group stage of the XLEAGUE.TVFIFA 07 Tournament has kicked off and some thrilling matches have already taken place. It’s all still to play for though as the tournament continues.
We have already seen some thrilling play from the competitors. Many games came down to the wire with only one or two goals deciding the fate of the teams. League title challenger Darren Tee aka Dazfeeder took a narrow victory in Group A to claim the top position. Dazfeeder is one of the big favourites to make it to the final stages of the tournament.
Elsewhere, some group matches were not so hard fought. Jay Buchanan absolutely dominated Jason Gilson aka Gilly Savage in a 10 - 1 demolition in Group F. Similarly in Group C, Adrian Sutcliffe aka OneWiseWolf triumphed over his opponent Ellis Greenhill aka Mirajor2 in a 7 - 1 walkover.
It seems the top riders in the league have played strong games, however Stephen Murphy aka smegg1980 suffered a shock 4-2 defeat at the hands of Craig Burrows aka Craig Senna. This defeat serves as a reminder that even the strongest of league players can crack under the pressure’s of tournament play.
For full details on all the matches played and the group standings click here.
Registration is over. The XLEAGUE.TVFIFA 07 Tournament has been on the tip of everyone's tongue and the players are now gearing up for the beautiful game.
There has been a lot of speculation flying around, with pre-tournament favourites being selected by their performance in the leagues. The tournament has already had its first shock. "Where's Sonman?" has been a catchphrase coined by many in the build up, as the league leader and favourite to take the crown is missing from the tournament line up.
With the abscence of Sonny Walton AKA Sonman will this give the other players in the tournament a chance to make their mark? The FIFA 07 League this season has seen the introduction of some great new players with the likes of Darren Tee AKA Dazfeeder, Stephen Murphy AKA Smegg1980 and Ben Reed AKA Benzilla. Can they convert their league success to the tournament stage?
Even with the strongest players of the league taking part, the tournament could be heading for more upsets. Chris Bullard AKA ChrisyBullard has been lurking in the shadows for most of the season, but this could be the perfect time for him to shoot back and let the league leaders know whose boss. Bullard walked away the XLEAGUE.TV FIFA 07 Invitational Champion, proving he is no stranger to the pressures of competition play. Other players fighting for top league positions like Adrian Sutcliffe AKA OneWIseWolf have yet to prove themselves in the tournament environment. Can they hold their nerve, not only contending with the big players but also against the cameras at XLEAGUE.TV's Match arena where the finals will be played?
Pressure appears to be a big factor in affecting player's performance. Is this what will sort the men from the boys? All will soon be decided as the whistle blows to kick off the XLEAGUE.TVFIFA 07 Tournament.
