New Full Version of the MRA Available

Due to issues discovered with the previous Full version of the MRA a new version has been made available at the Download page.  The actual MRA program has not been changed it is just the associated Visual Basic files that are distributed with it.

If you have been suffering with conditions such as:

"Missing .DLL file MSVBVM60.DLL"

or

"The file OLEAUT32.DLL is out of date, this program requires a newer version"
then I would recommend downloading this latest version.  Our apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused you.

MRA Support System (MSS) Updated

The MSS has been updated to reflect the addition of the latest Full version of the MRA plus a problem that has been brought to my attention on a number of occasions recently. If you have been suffering with messages such as

"League/Patch Path NOT Found, Please Adjust settings"

then you should refer to the Support pages setup for Launching errors. These issues have been caused generally by a previous install of the MRA and the Windows Registry needs clearing and then the MRA runs fine. How to clear the Registry is clearly explained at the support page.

News from the Fifa 2000 Argentina Team

The lads over at Fifa 2000 Argentina have informed me that they have now moved to their new site with a new design (and a great one it is too!)

They have also informed me that they will be making a new patch called Super Liga Argentina Version Final (Argentinian Super League Final Version or SLAVF), which will include:
  • Jerseys in 128 colours

  • a big roster modification with some Latin American leagues and the best of Europe playing the World League, instead of the Champions League

  • Additionally, the patch will have full compatibility for those who want to play with national teams
You can find more details about SLAVF on their site plus inscription details for the SLA 2.0 tournament (those who want to play must have the SLA 2.0, available on their site since 1st of February).

Please pay them a worthwhile visit at Fifa 2000 Argentina

Now Available - Additional MSVBVM60.DLL file for version 3 of your MRA

If you received an error when running version 3 of the MRA which said "Missing .DLL file MSVBVM60.DLL" then you just need to download this file and install the dll in your Windows/System directory and then your MRA will run fine.  This file was accidentally omitted from the original version of the MRA-3-Full.zip sized at 2.7Mb.

Fame at EA Sports FIFA 2000 Leaderboard

Matt Holme brought it to my attention today that a message I sent to EA Sports in response to their question of the week "Should we change the size of the pitch and why?" has been posted on their FIFA 2000 Leaderboard

I have reproduced the detail here as the link will be removed by next week.

"I really feel that the size of the pitch should be reviewed as currently the game has a tendency to turn into a midfield button fest where each team is steeling the ball from the other time after time and the skill element from the game disappears. A larger pitch would provide more time for building cultured moves and having slightly more time to assess and then react to situations.

This should certainly then enhance the gameplay and enjoyment of football players the world wide. This game has so much potential, lets take it to the limit please.
    Regards Wittser"

    Fame at last!
