Fifamania Stadium Viewer 2001 Utility

Hi guys, I bring you some great news from the great lads of Fifamania, after they brought some some excellent stadiums, with the G2 and G3 technique they now bring us a excellent utility which will save lot´s of hours and bring a huge revolution to the Stadium maker´s all over the world. What do I mean with all this, well I think the best is if you read what Rimo of Fifamania said to us:

"Fifamania.it will publish the G2 STADIUM VIEWER 2001, an utility that will allow you to open g2 rav files, and CHANGE ASSIGNMENT BETWEEN TEXTURES AND POLYGONS....".

Fifamania Stadium Viewer 2001

Well what does all this means for those who didn´t understood very well what Rimo wrote, he said nothing that now we can not only view the stadium structure files of FIFA 2001, but also we can see the stadium textures. Well but for now you will have to wait for Fifamania to release it, or until we make it avaliable here at the Downloads Boutique.

Badges Templates

Hello we´ve just received great news from Harry Karayannis, the great guy who´s behind the Photo 3D technique, he send us a mail with a great Templates for your badges, so now everyone can make his badges, for FIFA 2001 game, but let´s just read what he wrote for us below:

"Here are a couple of badge-templates in bmp-format, just in case some people wish to create their own badges. The one with the pink background (template-local.bmp) is intended for badges used in any local league, while the one with the gray background (template-euro.bmp) is intended for badges used in the ECC or EFA competitions. For best results I suggest people to use 24 bits when working on the templates (using programs like PSP or Photoshop), and when done to decrease the number of colors down to 256. Save them in gif-format and then import them into EA-Graph and set the background color's opacity (pink or gray) to 0... that will make those colors transparent. Additionally, Paint Shop Pro (most probably Photoshop too), lets you make transparent any color you wish and this can be used as a handy preview before saving and importing the badge into EA Graph. Best regards, Harry Karayannis Athens, Greece."

Click here to Download the great Templates from Harry.

So if you want to start making your badges for your FIFA game, and you Patches, just download the file Harry sent us by pressing the link above. Now start drawing your great Badges, and don´t forget to send them to use so we can show them to all the World.

Scotland Stars Sweetpatch 2001

Better late than never as they always say! Today we bring you a great new patch which Ramon Vargas has co-ordinated the development of for all fans of Scottish Football. Please check out Ramon's words to you all below.

Ramon Vargas - Lead Developer"Well fellow FIFA fans, and especially to my Scotch friends, here is what I have to offer. A tribute to a passionate League, the Scottish Premier league, starring all the Scottish stars and the plot of the story is the dispute of the SPL crown.

The plot takes place from Ibrox to Hampden to Celtic Park, the three stadiums in the Scotland Stars Sweetpatch. The armour designed by Ian Black in full fledged glory as the warriors don their club crest proudly as they dispute the coveted prize. Features include:

  • Lush, real life replicas of the kits donned by the SPL by Ian Black
  • Three fantastically structured stadiums by Gregor Gowans
  • Sky Sports TV graphics by Stephen Sutton
  • A Scottish and global roster update by Ramon Vargas
  • MRA compliant thanks to Matias Reis
  • New NHL 2001 crowd
  • New turfs, boots, ball, Goalie and Referees kits by Jordan Stavridis
  • Soundtrack to be released in the future

I hope you enjoy this patch as much as I enjoyed leading the development. I must say this patch wouldn't be half as good as it is without the help of one of the greatest development teams I have known.

  • Jordan, you are a master at the graphical aspects of FIFA 2001.
  • Stephen, wow, what a graphics patch. I hope for the sake of the FIFA community you continue your fantastic work.
  • Gregor, the work you put in to constructing the stadiums for the patch is priceless. Grade A work, definitely. Keep on it, the work you do is fantastic for the whole FIFA community. A heartfelt thanks on part of the whole development team.
  • Ian, you were the first I enlisted and went through it all. You really made a great patchmaking participation debut, and your kits are top of the line. Without those new replicas, the patch wouldn't be half as glamorous. Muchas gracias!!!
  • Dave, hmm, Dave who? Haha!!! Anything you name, this man does. Its amazing. If you run into a brickwall, he'll basically knock it down without so much as asking a thank you!!! The publicity for the patch is top class!!!
  • Matias, thanks for the last minute grace you showed while I was in the middle of a breakdown last night. Great pic and without you the world would have to wait in suspense.

See you for Legends Never Die... Without further ado, Sweetpatch presents...

Scotland Stars Sweetpatch 2001

Screen shot from new Scotland Stars Sweetpatch 2001

P.S. Quite a picture at the top, no? Any ladies out there wanting some of this, too bad, someone else bagged me :-)"

Coming this weekend...

Since the introduction of Sweetpatch we have received many great comments about her, and some people have even asked us about merchandise. This got us thinking, so we produced some trial Sweetpatch MRA T-shirts to gauge the level of interest.

We would like to hold a regular competition with great prizes to people who purchase a T-shirt and can provide us the best action photo of you or a friend wearing your Sweetpatch T-shirt.

Check back later this weekend for 1st photos of T-shirts in action!

Tip of the Day - No more "no data" messages!

That is correct, I expect most of you have downloaded a foreign patch and then found that you cannot read the menu options as all you are presented with is "no data". Well no longer folks!

Ed McAndrew, who is a proud Glasgow Rangers fan, contacted me following the release yesterday of the Fifa On Line Superpatch 1.1 to instruct that you can get around this issue. If you have not yet cracked this solution then here it is so you can now enjoy all foreign patches.

  1. On the first "no data" screen you will see 4 "no data"'s, click on the 3rd one (Options menu)
  2. Then at the next screen you will see 6 "no data"'s, click on the 3rd one (Select Language option)
  3. Change it to your required language and enjoy!

Thanks to Ed for this handy tip and I hope you can now all enjoy your favorite patches form around the world.

New "Road to the World Cup Patch" for Fifa 2001

Over at http://www.fifa2001worldcup.homestead.com they are currently developing a patch for FIFA 2001 called "Road to the World Cup".

Visit the home of the Road to the World Cup patch

The site is dedicated to the creation and imminent release of what will hopefully be the greatest patch ever for EA Sport's FIFA Series. Specifically, this patch's goal will be the addition of as many national teams to the game as possible. Obviously, this is a very lofty task for them to accomplish alone. Therefore, they need your help!

At the moment they are concentrating on gathering resources so they can begin the creation of the rosters after FEd2001 is released. In the meantime, they are requesting for and excepting all jerseys of any national team you wish to create. Simply e-mail them and include your name in a readme file along with the kit. If they can use it, your name will be included in the credits for this patch.

They hope this will be a patch for the fans, by the fans. Visit Progress to see how much is done, and what teams still need to be represented. You can contribute either by helping them to find a currently unknown roster or by making a kit for any team you desire. Many jerseys of the teams they are making are already in existence on the web, but they will not use any without permission. So send any kits you can (32bit preferred) and they can soon have an amazing patch to play with.

Please do not hesitate to help these guys as it sounds like a great project that we can all benefit from. Contributors to date include DKG Kitstore and Fifanet and you can find full details of this patch both over at http://www.fifa2001worldcup.homestead.com and in the Patches Database.
