Big news...from Dave Rodgers

Hi I've received some big news, not only the size of it, but it could be really important! This is what Dave Rodgers from Your FIFA told me:

Hi everyone

Popup Toolbox v2.10 has been released. You can now add images to popup files straight from BMP images, to save messing with Sonique and EAGraph. Also, you can edit transitions to change how an object enters and leaves the screen, and you can add new text colours so you don't have to use the ones already in the game. The program is now available in Dutch and Spanish too. More information and a download are available at http://www.your-fifa.com/popuptoolbox.

Also, we are going to start up a Fifa News Centre, where any FIFA sites which join up can go and enter their news and it will be sent to all the other participating sites, making it a good way of spreading your news. If you would be interested in particiapting in this, please mail me.

First Ever Fifa 2002 Preview Released

Fifala has achieved a tremendous breakthrough here in LA. As Xavier fights to search for a big company interested in placing ads on Fifala, he hasn't forgot what he came here for - FIFA 2002.

The good news is that Fifa 2002 may change according to your suggestions, either through email or on the forums. This is, without a doubt, the most important news in the Fifa scene ever.

Would you like EA Sports to improve Fifa 2002 based on your suggestions ? Well, it's now possible ! Thanks to one of Xavier's contacts at EA Sports, tomorrow the Soccer Access Network will be the only site at the Expo to play the alpha version of Fifa 2002. One of Xavier's friend's told him:
"Fifa 2002 was not ready to be showed here at E3. However I'll make an appointment with you tomorrow so that we can play the alpha version of Fifa, and since the game is still in their early development stages, we may even improve the game according to your suggestions."
This is ground breaking news that the fifa community can actually get a say in the developemnt of the latest Fifa game. So, don't hesitate any longer and be sure to go to the Fifala forum to post your suggestions about Fifa 2002. you can also email your suggestions to Xavier via email by clicking here. The answers of your questions and the first ever Fifa2002 review will be available tomorrow in the Soccer Access network sites:

As a result I will release v0.7 of my rosters as planned at the end of the month. I will then take a bit of a break before releasing updated rosters for the start of the 2001/02 season so I wont be going just yet!

Soccer-Views Message Board Revamped

This is what the Webmaster of Soccer-views told me:

"Greetings.

Soccer-views (an affiliate with Euro-ball.com) will be closed for 4 weeks, while it undergoes a major revamp. However, during this time span, we have updated our Messageboard with new features.

It's a great place to unwind from a hectic day's work and chat and discuss the latest happenings on the football scene with fellow football fans. Our forums have already proved a popular hit among many. We do allow visitors to post up goal-clips, pictures and other football-related attachments in the respective forums. Our finest interactive addition to the Messageboard will be our brand new webcam which would be placed at the Soccer-views headquarters. This would give our visitors a better insight on what we do at work ;)

The registration forms on our boards have also been significantly shortened for easier registering! Please stay tuned as The Soccer-views website would be re-opening soon with bigger and better features.

Cheers, Prashanth Pillay"

It think it is clear to you what is going to happen at Soccer-views, just wish them good luck with their new ideas and plans!

Support Treebeard and all people who develop for the Fifa community

One of the longest serving and most respected members of the FIFA community, Treebeard, needs our support. After some recent criticism by unappreciative lowlifes in his forum, Treebeard is having second thoughts about continuing his popular FIFA roster updates at his site, Treebeard's FIFA Rosters.

I can understand exactly how he feels as we here at the MRA site have spent many hours working on creating features such as the MRA and the Patches Database over the past 2 years and very rarely receive any thanks from anybody. This has got to stop and people must start passing on positive comments to all the people who spend hours providing quality resources for your enjoyment.

In an e-mail to me today, which you can read over at Fifa 2001.com Jochen had many angry words to say, and understandably so.

We all need to rally behind Treebeard and make sure he doesn't leave the FIFA scene. He has been an excellent figure in the FIFA community for so long! Make sure you send him an e-mail with your support, or Post Your Comments below on this topic. Let's not let the pathetic attitudes of a few people spoil it for everyone!

So let's start our campaign of positive feelings towards people, and everybody take a minute to send an e-mail of praise to someone whose work you have enjoyed and has made your Fifa gaming experience far better than the original game. Go on, do it now, it won't hurt!

Delay On New Costa Rican Patches

Xavier Gonzalez has informed me of a unfortunate delay on his new Costa Rican National Team 2001 and Costa Rican Liga Tica 2001 patches. These have been delayed, although they are almost finished, because there are a few problems with the compatibility of the patch with Fifa 2001 due to a few minor bugs in FEd2001.

The above patches will be released when these bugs are fixed. I hope its not long the patches sound good.

Musical Day here at the MRA

As reported recently, today we can release the identity of the person who was big in the Fifa scene and has now turned his hand to musical creativity. One last clue - he developed the websites for both Fifa 2001.com and Fifa 2000.net, any idea?

It is our good friend Rich Butler (aka Voodoo System). Rich has created a number of tracks which you can find linked to our Music Centre. He even recently hit the progressive trance top 10 charts with one of his songs! Over at MP3.com, where Rich's tracks are hosted, you can preview the song before you download it and install it in your Fifa game.

Check out the Music Centre for all the latest tracks by Fifa fans. If you have developed any MP3 tracks then please do not hesitate to contact me about hosting them here for the world to enjoy.
