New Site Launched

Hello to all of you!!! It's Michael Spasov with the latest news. Our friend Robert Marney from Soccered.com informed us about their new launched site with many new features and sections. Here is the original message:

"Hello Webmasters,

This news comes from www.soccered.com.

Yesterday we relaunched the site, with many new features, and sections. The most notable change is that of our design. It is no longer limited and confused, now we have a more robust design. The design coupled with the new search functions, mailing lists, and news headlines makes the site more enjoyable to use.

We have opened the following sections:
  • A Uefa Challenge Section
  • A European Super League Section
  • A Fifa 2002 Section
  • A Managerial Section
  • An a ISS 2PE section
*those sections are created with very little content at the moment, but we have already started to build up the database.

Soccered.com is also the only site that offers Uefa Challenge downloads, so no one miss the oppurtunity to improve that game.

In the FIFA 2001 section, we have opened the 'top 10 patch section' which offers reviews, and information on the top 10 patches at that moment in time. Schmeichel01 has also put together a good kit tutorial for people using Paint Shop Pro. We are expecting news of our latest patch RDSP II shortly. So all in all I suggest everyone heads to www.soccered.com today!

Thanks,

Robert Marney
co-webmaster www.soccered.com."

And now go and visit www.soccered.com.

Great new Patches coming this week

We had very much hoped to be able to bring you some great new patches this weekend but unfortunately Soccer Gaming's new download server is not yet available for us. Since the MRA site has become so popular I will now be hosting all patches on the new Soccer Gaming server to reduce traffic at the MRA server.

As soon as the server is ready (should be in the next few days) these great new patches will be released for you. Only clues I can give at this point is that one patch is version 2.2 in a regularly released world wide edition and the second is based on 2 countries within the UK.

I'm sure if you look hard enough in the Patches Database you will see which ones I am talking about.

Awesome news from FIFAMANIA.NET

FIFAMANIA.NET will be soon releasing the biggest FIFA 2001 patch ever seen: BR2001 v2.0, with about 170 teams. It will contain:
  • 120 Brazilian teams, including "classic" teams from the past, such as:
    • Flamengo 1981
    • Santos 1962/63 and
    • of course, Brazil 1970/1994
  • Also, there will be 50 teams from the rest of Latin America:
    • Mexico
    • Argentina
    • Chile
    • Paraguay
    • Peru
    • Colombia
    • Uruguay...
  • and their "classic" teams as well (Boca Juniors 2000, Independiente 78...)
  • Besides these 170 teams, some of FIFA 2001's national teams will be updated, and new ones will be created (such as Venezuela, Ecuador, Bolivia)

You can help them complete this great patch - just send pictures of "real" uniforms to marcos@fifamania2001.com, or FEd 2001 TEA files (yes, BR2001 v2.0 is being developed in FEd2001!). Your name (or nickname) will then appear in the credits, and that's a good reason to help them out.

Full details as always in the Patches Database.

Euro 96 patch update

FIFAManufacturer has provided us some great screenshots from his under development EURO 96 patch, which should be released around the beginning of August.

The first is an excellent birds eye view of Wembley, where the final of Euro 96 was played. The second is England celebrating after their early goal v Germany in the semi-final and the third is of Gareth Southgate who later became the villain of England as he missed the vital penalty during the shoot-out in the semi-final.

New Popup Toolbox Preview

I have some news regarding the next version of Popup Toolbox which should be released in the near future. It will have a new feature to allow you to see what your edited popups will look like without actually running the game.

You can see an example of what you will be able to see in the screenshot shown below, which shows the Popup Toolbox-generated image of what the default yellow card popup looks like (you will probably notice that there are a couple of bits missing - hopefully this will be corrected soon). You will also now be able to add rectangles (with gradients) to the popups as well as new images.

You can download the Popup Toolbox by clicking here and you can email the creator Dave by clicking here.
